We thought it would be helpful to share what we have put together for our customers. The best time to trim and prune trees in Missouri is just when the tree is coming out of dormancy. Dormancy for trees is based on two primary factor which is temperature and number of hours of light. Using data from 2022 to current based on average temperatures and daylight hours the optimal time in Missouri to trim or prune would be in late February to March.
